A nonprofit arts organization with more than 25 years of history, the Outpost Performance Space offers a full range of jazz & Latin music classes for children and adults of all ages. Participants in these programs learn the musical foundations of jazz, as well as important values such as teamwork, confidence, and trust. Outpost also offers a series of jazz improvisation and Latin music classes for adults, during which participants receive instruction in music theory, song development, and ear training. All music education courses are conducted by the Outpost’s team of musicians, which includes saxophonist Kanoa Kaluhiwa, pianist Jim Ahrend, and drummer Sharon Eldridge.
