Since 1998, Geoffrey Scovil of Albuquerque has been a criminal defense attorney focused on habeas corpus law. In addition to his professional work, Geoffrey Scovil supports Albuquerque’s Outpost Performance Space, a non-profit music venue that hosts jazz musicians and offers music and arts education.
The Outpost Performance Space holds performances year round and offers adults and children the opportunity to learn jazz, Latin, and opera with world-class teachers. Through the organization, local youth get the chance to perform onstage at Roust the House Teen Performance Nights. This monthly event features music from teen performers of any genre, dance performances, poetry, and any other performing arts talents the participants wish to share. The series provides a great way to showcase burgeoning talents and raise enthusiasm for music and the arts. The Outpost also periodically puts on variety shows for and by kids of all ages, letting younger children show off their performance skills.
Geoff Scovil received a BA in history, philosophy, and ethnic studies from the University of Texas at Austin.
